One of my responsibilities is to create and design e-mail blasts we send out. I was charged with re-designing 2 current monthly e-mail campaigns, News Notes and Advertisers Broadcast. News Notes is sent out monthly to approximately 15,000 recipients, containing articles and advertising regarding the most recent issue of Circuit Cellar Magazine. The Advertisers Broadcast is sent out monthly to companies we think might be interested in advertising in our magazine or on our web site. My job was to re-design each of these two e-mail blasts separately to be used going forward. I am also responsible for sending out all other e-mail blasts as requested as well.
MRA Web Site Re-design
Working with a team of 4 other people, I set out to re-design the MRA corporate Web site. Our goal was to come up with a Web site that not only better displayed information, but had a simple navigational structure, single log-in to access all areas of the site, as well as a unifying look and feel across the board.
Once the initial layout and design of the site was completed and approved by the CEO and COO of MRA, working in collaboration with the marketing specialist, we sat down with each department head, in order to determine what content on their sections of the Web site needed updating. The marketing assistant worked with each department head in re-writing the copy before turning it over to me to place in the new site.
The new MRA Web site launched in August 2009 to rave reviews from those who saw it.
I used CSS and multiple style sheets, without using tables in the design of this site.
PC Tech Service Web Site
PC Tech Service, a small computer repair company requested I design a Web site for them so they could further promote their business. In working closely with the owner, we discovered they needed a simple 4 page site, set up in two columns with simple information about the company in order to generate more clients.
Route 83 Auto Web Re-design
Working in collaboration with PC Tech Service, I was asked to re-design the Web site for Route 83 Auto. Using Dreamweaver and CSS style sheets, I cleaned up their Web site using a 3 column layout, to something clean, elegant and easy to navigate.
Collins Clan Praisegram
Malcolm and Barbara Collins have been missionaries for over 25 years. They try to keep their supporters up to date with monthly or quarterly newsletters. Recently, they asked me if I would re-design their newsletter, and provide it to them in a format they could attach to an e-mail as well. In working with them, we came up with the four page layout, the basic design, and agreed that the colors would change each season.
