Kinetic Hope, a start up physical fitness/personal training and nutrition company asked me to design their identity and business cards. With input from their founder, we came up with a logo that he felt represented what the company stands for. I was also asked to design business cards as well.
USC Identity Series
I was asked to design the new logo and identity series for Campus Crusades at the University of Connecticut. They were changing their name from Campus Crusades to UConn Students for Christ. This gave me the opportunity to try to come up with a design that would stand out, look fairly academic as well as incorporate a cross, and the letters “USC”. Once the design was approved, they asked me to provide a couple different variations that they could use along with black and white versions. I chose the 2 shades of blue because the main color at UConn was blue.
Prudential 2008 Calendar
I designed the 2008 Prudential Calendar to be small, elegant and memorable. We decided to go with the smaller size of 5×7 when folded down, because it was sturdy, and easy to carry around. We found high end stock photography of places around Connecticut to correspond with each month. I worked with our printer, so that when the real estate agents could order calendars for their clients, their photo and personal message would show up on the agents page.
The calendar was saddle stitched, and printed on a matted paper with a matt varnish to give it a more elegant look.
Programs & Sevices
I worked on this brochure in collaboration with others in the marketing department at Prudential. Our goal was to design and update a brochure that could then be given out to potential real estate agents looking to join the Prudential team. Using the colors defined on the brand new Prudential Web site and a three column layout, we went about designing a brochure that looked elegant and first class. We printed this on a matted heavier paper with a card stock cover/back cover. Continue Reading »
New Homes & Land Marketing Guide
New Homes & Land is a division of Prudential Connecticut Realty that works with real estate agents who want to work with builders in building brand new houses. The Prudential Connecticut Realty marketing department then works with New Homes & Land on the design of these new housing divisions going up, as all the marketing material is brand new.
The marketing department had a brochure to hand out to agents containing the services that it offers to New Homes & Land agents. I worked on the re-design of the brochure. Our goal was to create a slightly smaller, more compact brochure with better graphics and the content easier to read and understand. Each agent was to fill out this brochure, and hand it back to the marketing department, so that we had a clear understanding of the types of logos, brochures, and folders we were to create.
Sunshine Kids Golf Tournament
I designed the brochure and program for Prudential’s Annual Sunshine Kids Golf Tournament. My goal was to come up with a brochure that made people want to come to it. As it was a charity golf tournament, I wanted the Tournament Brochure to look elegant as well. Along with the brochure that gave information to prospective participants, I wanted all the pieces to look similar and feel branded. The Program Book was given out the day of the tournament to all participants, and included all the corporate sponsors. It was a 4 color cover, 2 color interior piece. The Tournament Mailer was a long, narrow piece that included a registration form on the back that we put into Prudential employee pay check envelopes.
In working with our main printer, we were able to negotiate the donation of all three pieces from the printer as their contribution to the tournament.
PRC Print Design
While working in the marketing department at Prudential Connecticut Realty, I had the opportunity to work on various design pieces.
Prudential Market Report
The Market Report is a quarterly report put out by Prudential analyzing the current state of the market for the past quarter. It included a brief article and a number of charts showing how each county fared the previous quarter. I worked with the senior graphic designer to re-design the market report to be a 4 page newsletter that could easily be mailed out to all real estate agents.
CMA Cover
The CMA Cover is the cover that real estate agents used to go over reports, or sales presentations to potential buyers and sellers. I re-designed the cover to have a simple duo-toned blue with the Prudential rock in the middle.
2006 Press Book Cover
The 2006 Press Book Cover is the cover of the 2006 Prudential Press book. Throughout the course of the year, I compiled all the press releases and news clippings that mentioned Prudential Connecticut Realty. I organized the book by town, and worked with the Marketing director on the design and printing of the cover.
Pru Active Adult Newsletter
Although this piece did not get printed, it was one that I designed and worked on for the Active Adult community of Prudential Connecticut Realty. The idea was to design a newsletter that would feature a Prudential active adult property, and would be a way to engage the Prudential active adult community.
NICABM Tri-fold brochures
NICABM designed some new one day, intensive seminars to help people in the health industry get some continuing education credit. With the implementation of these new seminars, I designed the brochures that were used to market them. Initially, there were 2 different seminars, and each one needed it’s own brochure. The result was 2 tri-fold brochures that gave the reader all information they needed, including a registration form for the seminar. Continue Reading »
NICABM 2006 Course Catalog
NICABM offers a number of online courses for people in the medical field looking to enhance their continuing education. I had the chance to design the catalog being mailed out to people interested in these classes. The catalog was designed as a 2 column layout, with certain information always being at the top, and certain information always being at the bottom. Because it was a two color job, I chose a light blue and black for the inside. The purpose was to design something that presented a large amount of content in an appealing, aesthetic fashion.
